This work will be undertaken via email correspondence, working with a senior person within your business who has responsibility to co-operate with us to ensure an effective and efficient outcome.

Search Engine Optimisation Objectives

What you ideally want is for prospective customers searching the internet via Google for products or services that you offer to see your website listed number one for the search terms that they entered in Google. Achieving this is a very much more challenging task than obtaining a good listing for your unique brand name!

What is realistically possible?

Each Google results list contains ten web page links. If you sell “televisions” and expect the word “television” on your website to result in a Google listing, you have a problem! There will be hundreds of thousands of web pages containing this word (the exact number of pages will appear top right on the Google search results list).

Your page will still be listed somewhere but maybe on page 100 or 1000!

The actual page listing position is determined by various other elements of the listing criteria. Some of these are:

• How many other relevant websites have links to your web page?
• Does your page filename hint at the topic (television)?
• How recently was the web page updated?
• Does the “keyword” (television) appear in your page title or paragraph headers?
• Is the structure of your page headers OK – i’e. main headers and sub-headers in correct order?
• Do images have names and “alt” descriptions that match page text content – especially do they contain the search keyword?

Our SEO Service objectives

1. we will endeavour to have specified pages of your web site listed on one of the first five pages of Google.co.uk or .com and/or Yahoo.co.uk or .com search engines;
2. Websites that have been on-line less than 12 months or pages which have not been updated for more than 12 months may take longer for their new SEO configuration to be indexed by the search engines. Therefore the aim will be to obtain the desired listing within 18 months;
3. We will provide our customer with a sufficient non-technical understanding of the concept of "keywords" to enable them to assist us with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO);

4. The search terms - i.e., "keywords" - that will be the basis of the desired listing will be jointly agreed between our customer and ourselves;
   
5. Unless otherwise agreed with the client, our first priority will be to obtain the desired listing for the "homepage" (i.e the web site first page) since success in this will likely increase visitors to the web site's first page;

If this result is not achieved within 18 months of service order date you will not be billed even if, possibly as a result of our work, the listing aims are achieved thereafter.
